BioFlo Deflector/Sponge

The Hydor BIOFLO is a rotating water deflector with a sponge attached for aerobic biological filtration. The BIOFLO aerobic filtration works to reduce ammonia and nitrite naturally without the use of chemicals being added to the aquarium: The deflector rotates 360 degrees driven by the water flow of the filter being used, so no additional power source is required. The rotating water flow creates a natural and pleasant wave effect which is beneficial to live plants and reef inhabitants and leads to increased oxygenation. The sponge also works to capture unpleasant surface film. Adaptors are included which allow the BIOFLO to be used with most aquarium filter and water pump applications. The BIOFLO works best when submerged at a 2/3 level. For freshwater or marine aquariums. Ideal for use with canister filters.
